Cookie Policy

This policy explains how Preview My Home uses cookies and similar technologies (like browser local storage). The short version: we use a small set of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to process payments, plus local storage for a few preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser so it can remember things between page loads — like the fact that you are signed in. Local storage is a similar browser feature: data saved on your device by the site, never sent automatically with every request.

2. Strictly necessary cookies

These are required for the service to function and cannot be switched off in our settings:

• Supabase authentication session. When you sign in, our authentication provider (Supabase) stores a session token in your browser so you stay signed in as you move around the site. Without it, you would be signed out on every page.
• Stripe checkout cookies.When you buy a credit pack or subscription, our payment processor (Stripe) sets its own cookies on its checkout pages for security and fraud prevention. These are governed by Stripe’s own privacy and cookie policies.

3. Functional local storage

We use browser local storage (not cookies) for a few functional items:

• Guest render tracking. Remembering that a guest visitor has used their one free render.
• Preferences.Small interface preferences and in-app progress markers, plus remembering that you dismissed our cookie notice so we don’t show it again.

4. Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate site usage (page views, general performance). It is cookieless: it does not set cookies, does not track you across sites, and reports only anonymized, aggregate data.

5. What we do not use

We do not use advertising cookies, social-media tracking pixels, or any cross-site tracking technology.

6. How to control cookies

Every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies in its settings — usually under Privacy & Security (Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Site settings; Safari: Settings → Privacy; Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security). You can also clear local storage by clearing site data for previewmyhome.com. Keep in mind that blocking or deleting our essential cookies will sign you out and may prevent checkout from working.

7. Changes to this policy

If we start using new categories of cookies, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above, and give notice in the service where appropriate.
